Fine Pitch LED Displays
P0.62–P1.875 · COB & MIP · 16:9 & 4:3 · Front Access
Indoor LED video walls below 2.5mm pixel pitch — COB Pro (16:9
flagship), COB Beta (4:3 value tier), and MIP (color-binned, single-LED
serviceable). Same factory, same 15-engineer team, three technology paths for control rooms, broadcast
studios, and corporate command walls.
Close-viewing LED without seams or pixels
Fine pitch LED displays are indoor LED screens with a pixel pitch typically below 2.5mm, designed for close viewing distances where seams and individual pixels must be invisible. They deliver seamless, high-resolution images across custom sizes — from compact meeting room walls to full broadcast stages. Choose between 16:9 (COB Pro or MIP) and 4:3 (COB Beta) formats depending on your content.
DOIT VISION's fine pitch range covers three distinct product paths: COB Pro cabinets in 16:9, COB Beta cabinets in 4:3, and MIP cabinets for the highest color uniformity and single-LED serviceability.
| Pixel Pitch | Min. Viewing Dist. | Products in This Range |
|---|---|---|
| P0.62 – P0.94 | 0.8 – 2 m | COB Pro, MIP |
| P1.2 – P1.56 | 1.5 – 3 m | COB Pro, COB Beta |
| P1.25 – P1.875 | 2 – 5 m | COB Beta full range · COB Pro upper |
Two Aspect Ratios. Three Ways to Get There.
Start with the aspect ratio your content needs — then choose COB or MIP for 16:9, or COB Beta for a 4:3 multi-screen wall.
COB Pro or MIP
Presentation, broadcast, and command-wall content is almost always 16:9. Choose COB Pro for the best value at P0.62–P1.875, or step up to MIP when color uniformity and single-LED field repair justify the premium.
COB Beta
4:3 cabinets built for multi-screen control room layouts. P1.25–P1.86, value-tier COB technology at a price point that lets you cover large wall areas without compromising on front access or factory-direct quality control.
| Your Scenario | Recommended | Alternative | Key Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control room / NOC — 4:3 layout | COB Beta | COB Pro (if 16:9 OK) | 4:3 is Beta's hard advantage |
| Presentation / meeting wall — 16:9 | COB Pro | MIP (ultra uniformity) | 16:9 cabinets; P0.62–P1.875 |
| Broadcast studio / XR stage | COB Pro | MIP (color critical) | High refresh + flagship COB |
| Color uniformity / single-LED repair | MIP | COB Pro (budget limited) | Color binning + per-LED repair |
| Corporate lobby / retail feature wall | COB Pro or COB Beta | MIP (premium look) | Decide 16:9 vs 4:3, then budget |

Three Fine Pitch LED Series

COB Pro
Flip-chip COB with surface coating film for unmatched contrast and flatness. 3-in-1 Hub Board or separate receiver card. No-weld custom back bracket. CNC edge cutting for 90° corners. Three brightness tiers. White-label ready. Factory color calibrated before shipping.

COB Beta
Flip-chip COB technology at a price point competitive with premium SMD. Industry-standard 320×160mm module. Cabinet-based or magnetic-mount installation. Common cathode for lower power, lower heat. Your existing mounting structure may not need to change.

MIP
MIP 0202 Micro LED in Package — the next-generation fine pitch architecture. 100,000:1 native contrast from 99.03% black area ratio. Pixel-level RGB color mixing eliminates color cast — a problem inherent to batch-bonded COB. Each pixel individually field-replaceable. 7680Hz native refresh, 16-bit grayscale, HDR10+ designed in from day one. Two pixel pitches, one uncompromising standard.
COB vs MIP vs SMD — 2026 Reality.
After ISLE 2026, SMD has effectively exited fine pitch competition. The real decision is between COB and MIP — and the answer depends on your application.
SMD
Traditional surface-mounted diodes. Still viable above P1.8 for outdoor advertising and cost-sensitive installations. Below P1.5, the mechanical fragility of exposed diode beads becomes the limiting factor.
Role: P1.8+ & OutdoorCOB: Chip on Board
LED chips bonded directly onto PCB and encapsulated together — no individual LED housings. Flat, seamless surface with no moiré effect, high impact resistance, consistent close-viewing performance. DOIT VISION COB uses flip-chip bonding for higher efficiency. COB Pro vs Beta: same technology path, different aspect ratio (16:9 vs 4:3) and price tier.
MIP: Mini/Micro in Package
MIP packages individual mini-LEDs into discrete units that can be color-sorted (binned) before assembly — producing significantly more uniform panels than standard COB. Failed LEDs can be replaced at the single-chip level, reducing long-term maintenance cost on permanent installations. Trade-off: MIP carries a higher unit cost. Right for projects where uniformity and serviceability justify the premium.

Real questions from integrators and end users. Answered by Kris Liang, Co-Founder at DOIT VISION.
COB Pro and COB Beta are both flip-chip COB technology — COB Pro is 16:9 (P0.62–P1.875, 10,000:1 contrast), COB Beta is 4:3 (P1.25–P1.86, built for multi-screen control walls). MIP uses Micro LED in Package with factory color binning, delivering 100,000:1 contrast and single-LED field repair at a 20–40% price premium. All three share the same aluminum die-cast cabinet, front service access, and CE/FCC/CB/RoHS certification.
Use 1mm of pitch per meter of minimum viewing distance as a starting rule. Control rooms 1–1.5m: P0.9–P1.25 COB Pro. Broadcast studios 2m+: P1.25–P1.875. For sub-1m viewing or camera close-ups, step up to MIP.
MIP packages and color-bins each mini-LED individually before mounting — a manufacturing step COB skips. Payoff: 100,000:1 contrast (vs. 10,000:1 COB) and single-LED field repair instead of module replacement. For 24/7 installations, lower TCO over 5+ years offsets the higher unit price.
No. COB Pro (600×337.5mm, 16:9) and COB Beta (640×480mm, 4:3) use different cabinet dimensions and aspect ratios — they cannot tile together into one seamless wall. Decide your aspect ratio first, then select the matching product.
All three series ship with a 2-year warranty and CE, FCC, CB, and RoHS certification as standard, no extra fee. Extended warranty and on-site commissioning available for projects over 20m². Certificates per model, available on request.
Standard cabinet sizes ship in 15–25 days from Shenzhen. Custom dimensions or white-label branding add 1–2 weeks for tooling and sample approval. Exact date confirmed in quotation within 24 hours.
Yes. COB Pro, COB Beta, and MIP are all available with white-label front labeling, custom packaging, and OEM documentation for AV integrators. No minimum order increase — same MOQ and lead time as standard-branded units.
