Which case studies are most relevant to an AV integration project?
Start with the installation environment, then compare the physical constraints. The New Jersey and Seoul showrooms cover fine-pitch walls and corners; the Tokyo venue covers custom geometry; the museum retrofit covers fitting an existing structure. Display size alone is a weak match. Viewing distance, service access, mounting and content layout are more useful when comparing a reference project with your own brief.
Can an LED display fit an existing structure or equipment chassis?
Several projects address a fixed structure: the museum staircase, the casino machine dispensing windows and the AT&T prototype chassis. Their solutions use different combinations of framework, modules and electronics. Whether the same approach suits another project depends on measured dimensions, access and interface requirements. Drawings and clear site photographs are the starting point for assessing a comparable design.
When does a project need custom LED modules or PCBs?
Custom parts become relevant when standard module geometry or electronics cannot meet the project constraints. The Tokyo forms use custom-contour PCBs; the suspended circle uses fan-shaped modules; the vision-testing device uses a dedicated hub board. By contrast, the retail pillar project uses standard modules with CNC-machined frame corners. The design decision depends on geometry, quantity, assembly and future servicing.
What does a prototype establish before a larger rollout?
A prototype gives the project team a physical reference for decisions that drawings and specifications leave unresolved. The AT&T upgrade compares four pixel pitches on one chassis, while the single-module COB project tests a dedicated electronics interface. Define what the sample must demonstrate before building it: fit, image quality, corner alignment, connectivity or an assembly method. Those criteria should guide the next production decision.
Can a case study's pixel pitch or delivery time apply to my project?
Treat a case study as evidence of a particular engineering approach, with its own scope and constraints. Pixel pitch depends on viewing distance and content; delivery depends on design maturity, custom components, quantity and the agreed scope. A completed project can inform those discussions, but a new quotation needs its own confirmed specification and schedule. Prototype and production milestones should be distinguished.
What should I send when discussing a similar project?
Send the closest case-study link together with your application, dimensions or drawings, installation location, viewing distance, required quantity and target date. Include photographs of existing structures and any fixed interfaces or service-access limits. For equipment integration, add the space available for electronics and the required signal and power interfaces. This gives the engineering discussion a concrete starting point before selecting a configuration.
