NovaStar TU20 Configuration Guide

Next, we will guide you the full setup and debugging process for the NovaStar TU20 controller, including hardware installation, screen configuration, and firmware upgrade steps.

Novastar TU20 Pro

1. Hardware Setup

Step 1: Connect the LED Display
Connect the LED display’s Ethernet cables to the TU20’s output ports in sequence. The TU20 is equipped with 6 output ports.

Step 2: Connect the Power Cable
Plug in the power cable to power on the device.

Step 3: Install Required Apps
Search for and install the “Screen Spirit” and “Screen Owner” apps from your mobile app store.

2. Screen Configuration

Step 1: Select Screen Type
If you are configuring a complex screen, tap the “+” icon in the bottom-right corner to add receiving cards one by one. Use the on-screen keyboard to edit the position and loading capacity of each receiving card.

Step 2: Set Up Cabling
Select a network port, then drag your finger from the port to the receiving card center to draw the signal path and define the connection order.

Step 3: Complete Connection
Once the signal path is set, the receiving cards assigned to each network port will display matching colors. The upper-left corner of each card will also show its corresponding port number. Tap “Send to Hardware” to complete the screen connection.

Step 4: Test Display
Connect your phone to the TU20’s AP hotspot (default name: MeetUs_****, default password: 12345678).
Go to “Screen Configuration > Test Image” in the app to verify screen display.

3. Firmware Upgrade

Step 1: Download the Upgrade Package
First, your phone is connected to the internet. Download the appropriate firmware version according to your TU20 model and version number.

Step 2: Connect to the Device
Connect to the TU20’s AP hotspot.

Step 3: Enter the Upgrade Interface
Open the app and go to the “Local Debug” interface. Connect to the TU20 device (default password: 123456).
Select “Upgrade Player Box” to enter the firmware upgrade screen.

Additional Notes

  • The TU20 supports Mapping functionality; the T Card does not.
  • The TU20 has 6 output ports and no backup port.
  • For the T Card, the configured resolution must not exceed the device’s actual resolution. Otherwise, a warning will be displayed.
  • For the TU20, the configured resolution can exceed the actual resolution.
  • You can load a local .scr file for one-click screen configuration.
