- Supports real-time adjustments and instant feedback on changes.
Calculation formula description
We use industry standard formulas to calculate LED display distances:
Distance type Formula Description
Minimum distance Pixel pitch × 1.0 The closest distance before pixels are too obvious
Optimal distance Pixel pitch × 3.0 The ideal distance for the best viewing experience
Maximum distance Screen height × 30 The farthest distance before the content is too small
Environmental adjustment:
If the environment is outdoor, we multiply each value by 1.2 to accommodate ambient light and longer visibility needs.
Example Use Case
Let’s look at a real-world example:
Pixel pitch: 3.0 mm
Screen size: 5.0 m wide × 3.0 m high
Environment: Outdoor
Calculation steps:
1. Convert pixel pitch to meters:
3.0 mm = 0.003 m
Calculate distance:
Minimum distance: 3.0 × 1.0 = 3.0 → ×1.2 (outdoor factor) = 3.6 m
Optimal distance: 3.0 × 3.0 = 9.0 → ×1.2 = 10.8 m
Maximum distance: 3.0 m (height) × 30 = 90 → ×1.2 = 108.0 m
Final result:
Minimum: 3.6 m
Optimal: 10.8 m
Maximum: 108.0 m
Optimal range: 3.6 m – 108.0 m
