Matrix 500 is a die-cast aluminium rental LED cabinet for event screens. Each 500 × 500 mm cabinet covers 0.25 m², with four 250 × 250 mm modules and access for front or rear servicing.
Choose the indoor or outdoor model first, then match the pixel pitch, control electronics and accessories to the jobs in your calendar. The same enquiry can cover the screen, hanging bars, flight cases and spare parts.
For indoor stages, conferences and event backdrops. Standard brightness is 1,000–1,100 nits, with 7.3 kg cabinets. Compare the native pixel count at your intended wall size.
Standard outdoor models provide 4,500 nits and IP65 protection at the front and rear. Outdoor P3.9 and P4.8 also offer a separately specified 6,500-nit, 1/8-scan configuration.
Novastar and Colorlight are standard configurations. Brompton Tessera is a separate Matrix version with its own receiving cards, bill of materials, quotation and lead time.

Co-Founder Kris Liang describes the starting point as repeated assembly, careful handling and manageable maintenance. Working with an industrial design partner, the team narrowed 20 appearance studies to three rendered directions and one chosen design. These original sketches show some of the alternatives considered along the way.
The handle, locks, power box and modules were considered together. The central handle was intended to leave the operator’s other hand free to work the lock while holding a cabinet.
Original concept sketch
Two 3D-printed cabinets were used for pre-assembly checks before tooling. A trial fit exposed interference between a power connector and the HUB board inside the power box. The team adjusted the connector-hole angle and reduced the board outline to create clearance.
Original concept sketch
The team considered a larger quick-release arrangement, then chose a two-screw power-box closure. The decision was part of balancing access, cabinet structure and everyday handling.

Start with the screen dimensions, nearest audience position and content. Indoor Matrix 500 comes in P2.6, P2.9 and P3.9; outdoor versions come in P2.9, P3.9 and P4.8. At the same wall size, a finer pitch provides more pixels. Use the calculator to compare actual resolutions, then send a content sample and viewing distance so we can check the choice with you.
Choose an outdoor Matrix 500 configuration for outdoor use. Standard outdoor P2.9, P3.9 and P4.8 models provide 4,500 nits with IP65 protection at the front and rear. Outdoor P3.9 and P4.8 also have a 6,500-nit, 1/8-scan option. Include daylight exposure, installation method and operating conditions in your enquiry so the brightness, power requirements and supporting equipment can be specified together.
Yes. Matrix 500 can be supplied as a Brompton Tessera version with a specified receiving-card configuration. This version has its own bill of materials, quotation and lead time. Novastar and Colorlight are the standard configurations. Tell us which processor you use, your intended screen resolution and any camera requirements so we can quote the appropriate cabinet electronics and control package.
A 5 × 3 m Matrix 500 wall uses 60 cabinets, arranged 10 wide by 6 high. Its active area is 15 square metres. With indoor P2.6 cabinets, the native resolution is 1,920 × 1,152 pixels and the cabinet-only weight is 438 kg. The calculator also shows standard-model power estimates; hanging bars, support structure, cables and transport cases are specified separately.
Matrix 500 supports front and rear service. The maintenance videos show module removal from each side, while the gallery shows the module back, cabinet frame and service tool. Plan access around the actual installation, including clearance for the power box and cable connections. We can include the relevant service tools and spare parts in the quotation for your selected configuration.
Ask for cabinets, receiving-card configuration, processing, hanging or ground-support hardware, power and signal cables, service tools, spare parts and flight cases as separate line items. Send your usual wall sizes, destination and required event date. We can then work through cabinet quantities, case loading and the accessory list with you, so the package reflects how your crew will use it.
Matrix 500 carries CE and EMC certification and a TÜV tensile test report. Our assembled-screen ageing process runs for 72 hours. For your order, you can request test video, factory acceptance testing, packing photos, and spare-parts photos with a list. Send any project documentation requirements early so the relevant configuration, test records and delivery evidence can be agreed before dispatch.
Matrix 500 has a two-year warranty. Before ordering, discuss spare modules, power supplies, receiving cards and the service tools your team will need for its event schedule. Share the selected model and control configuration when asking for support or replacement parts. This helps us identify the appropriate components and explain the service steps for the cabinets in your inventory.
Send your wall size, indoor or outdoor use, viewing distance, controller preference and destination. We will work through the cabinet configuration and accessory package with you.
